Recursion and time loops. I was inspired to read a novel by Philip K. Dick recently which involved time travel and apparent resulting determinism with effect preceding cause. We know there have been nonlinear leaks of cross-time information via portals. We know hyperthreading can traverse space, but what if there's a mode that traverses time? Disappearing entirely from our segment in time might appear to be death as the soul and/or mind is not present to be sensed. What if Hank has gone back in time to change things? Are we seeing a collision of multiple time streams in the Nest? Alternate timelines even? It may be that a Hank Johnson is dead, and the one we know is missing, but that may be less conclusive that a certain intelligence analysis firm would have us believe if they want to keep certain forms of reality hacking a secret from corporations perceived to be adversarial. Maybe the question we should as via-a-vis recursion is when is Hank now?
