I believe that we need to have a serious discussion about who or what is behind this. We are at a serious disadvantage the longer we remain ignorant of who the players are in this. This post will serve to collect all of the Operation Essex/Project Isthmus polls in a single, easy to reference collection. I will try and keep this up to date. The purpose of the polls is to allow for easier, collective engagement with questions that don't have easy answers. When approaching a poll, one can't help but think, are these the only choices? are these choices mutually exclusive? "What is the nature of November Lima​​?" Part 8 in my ongoing series of polls is concerned with the nature/purpose of this former NIA van. "Who is Devra Bogdanovich​​​ running from really?"-Part 6 in my ongoing series investigating the questions posed by flint dille​​​ on signed copies of Tycho C.​​​'s Ingress Origins. I have interpreted this question as referring to what has motivated Devra to leave/flee/escape the Niantic Project at CERN. Other readings are possible as it could be argued that Devra continued running long after she escaped Niantic: she ran from Visur Technology​​​ and perhaps kept running. I am, as always, eager to hear other interpretations, perspectives, and views. That's why I always leave " Other" as an option. Perhaps the most straightforward interpretation is that Devra is simply the most extreme case of "resistance syndrome", the effect of increased fear and paranoia induced by exposure to xm in approximately 50% of subjects. As most of you are aware, flint dille​​ was abducted in Seattle on the eve of the Obsidian anomaly there. "What is the special sensitive power of Hubert Farlowe​" Part 4 in my series of answer polls to flint dille​'s questions posed on signed copies of Tycho C.​'s Ingress Origins. This is a really tricky one. Despite at one time being a prolific poster on G+, there is still so little we know for sure about Farlowes agenda and whereabouts. As always, I will give my personal analysis and also attempt to present other perspectives. My personal view is that Farlowe possess a keen sense of situational awareness and threat detection that is heightened and enhanced by xm. This explains his uncanny ability to detect and intercept would be assassins of Devra Bogdanovich​ twice in Ingress Origins. There is, however. some ambiguity in this question: it's not clear whether Farlowe gained additional abilities after interacting with Jarvis. Klue has always been an enigma, wrapped in a mystery. From puzzling about her ontological nature as KlAda (Klue "hosting" A.D.A.), to her relationship to H. Richard Loeb​, Klue has perplexed, and variously befriended, Resistance and Enlightened alike. Essentially, this question goes to the heart of the inscrutable motivations of the enigmatic mastermind of the Niantic Project. Ezekiel Calvin has been described as a puppet master and it is probably safe to say that no one truly knows his long-term master plan except him. So I was finally able to acquire my very own copy of Ingress Origins. I was so excited to read it and highly recommend that all investigators try and get their hands on a copy. I have resolved to work through each of Flint's questions in turn, and decided to start with one that seemed straightforward. After I started trying to pin down the answer, it proved to be surprisingly difficult. I am trying to ascertain which of the Niantic Researchers began as Enlightened. Flint hinted that there are five. There is a section in the comic that deals with this, where Devra is discussing how some of the researchers are calling themselves the Enlightened and are embracing the creativity inspired by the xm. The others are apparently responding with increased mistrust and fear. Given what we know and the names Devra lists, Roland Jarvis​, enoch dalby​, and Oliver Lynton-Wolfe​ are obvious members. Some interesting questions raised by this Omnivore leak provided by H. Richard Loeb​. 1) Does anyone else find it interesting that Omnivore doesn't identify Hank as 13 Magnus? It does identify Jahan as AntiMagnus and resistance. Either Omnivore is much less informed on this issue than Essex, unlikely, or we were perhaps wrong to attribute a leadership role in Magnus to Hank. 2) How did Jahan "listen in" on Hank's conversation with the Acolyte? Who is backing her? Could it be one of the companies, Visur Technology​, Hulong Transglobal​, IQTech Research​ or has A Detection Algorithm​ decided to provide assistance to Jahan? 3) "traveling under the Aegis of Titus..." Here are entries XVII, XVIII and XVIX for Essexian's convenience. A few thoughts have occurred to me: 1) Pliny the Elder's death during his attempt to evacuate Pompeii with the Roman fleet is very strange. Notably, all of his companions with him at the beach, including Pliny the Younger, survive. It is speculated that he could have succumbed to asthma, but it is remarked that when they returned for his body three days later, it didn't have a mark on it. Could Pliny have been a simulacrum? Could he have succumbed to a similar condition to Jarvis? 2) Vesuvius eruption date discrepancy- in a letter from Pliny the Younger to Titus recounting the eruption and death of Pliny the Elder, the date of the explosion is given as August 24. However, considerable archaeological evidence (the clothes people were wearing, the sealed wine bottles) indicates a September or October eruption. Most historians have ascribed the date discrepancy in the first letter to a transcription error. Cons...

Gaius Plinius Secundus, more commonly known to us as Pliny the Elder, is likely to be incredibly significant, if not central to the upcoming anomaly. First, his travels took him to many of the locations of the Obsidius breadcrumbs or alluded to in the background images: Xanten, Germania Inferior, the Batavian Revolt etc. It is recorded by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, that he barely slept, and possessed an almost inhuman ability to read, write and discourse throughout thee night. His Natural History was the world's first encyclopaedia. That a work of breadth and depth could be completed by a single man strained credulity even at the time. The possibility that Pliny was a sensitive whose prodigious output was inspired, fueled and directed by xm seems plausible. Moreover, his decision to sail to the Eruption of Vesuvius to investigate implies he perhaps suspected an xm related cause to the explosion or, alternatively, thought that he could use an artifact to protect Pompeii. Mozart's last Opera, The Magic Flute, almost certainly contains significant clues and allusions. As many of you have no doubt already realized, the latest portal clue released by PAC has a filename of "Tamino", a character from the Magic Flute. Further, Mozart visited the Temple of Isis in Pompeii prior to writing the opera, which includes themes derived from Isis. The Opera is highly allegorical and I believe that It might be helpful for agents to look at it more closely, keeping In mind what we know so far about the story of Obsidius and the greater, overarching, ancient struggle between the Magnus and AntiMagnus. The plot can be seen as a conflict between the anti-Enlightenment, Queen of the Night, and the enlightenment of Sarastro. The Queen of Night gives Tamino, (Obsidius?), a Magic Flute (Xm artifact/nest key?) which allows him to enter the temple, (Magnus Nest?) of Sarastro. What is the significance of SYPHAX? In the latest Obsidian breadcrumb recovered from the Carthaginian ruins in Tunis; we learn that Titus assigned a Numidian guide named SYPHAX to assist Obsidius in his journey. Strangely, the name is in all-caps. Also, it seems odd that Obsidius would remark that "my guide was of no use, save to keep me out of dangerous lands and provide some local knowledge." It doesn't make much sense to prominently record the name of the guide if they are truly a minor background player. I think that SYPHAX was/will be more significant. The only clues we have, that I'm aware of, are his name and nationality. The most famous historical Syphax was a Numidian king who first fought for Rome against Carthage, and then later fought against Rome. Now, this was during the second Punic War, which Yik Sheng Lee​ has argued was partially a proxy war for xm artifacts. Syphax was defeated and taken prisoner by the Romans. From what I've come across, he didn't travel alone... he was working as part of a larger group. He was definitely a sensitive, and an extremely powerful one at that, possibly one of the most powerful ones ever. The records on this last point are confusing. I've seen reference to Obsidius as a collaborator and an enemy in both 13MAGNUS and Anti-Magnus contexts. I'm not sure I understand how that's possible... was he a collaborator to both of these groups? An enemy to both? Or maybe I'm just losing something in the translation.
