Continuing a discussion with Quantumingress Effectingress​ from another thread, so as not to tangent it any father. I conclude (from everything I've seen and read on the subject) that Resistance and Enlightened control fields have exactly the same effects on the human minds within them. I still don't have enough data for a definitive list of what all of those effects are, but at the very least both allow the minds within to be "patterned," or copied. Jarvis and ADA both seem to agree on this point. Regarding actual mind control, the only clear example of that I'm aware of is ADA's Ingressing of Klue (and possibly her experiments on 855 before that) and I've seen no indication that control fields of either frequency were involved in this. There has been lots of talk of a subtler "influence", and certainly some of the earlier anomalies appeared to sway the targeted individuals' allegiance toward the faction which dominated them. Based on all the contradictory messages I've been seeing from the same portals (pursue conflict advance war, vs. strong together avoid war), I have to assume this is indeed Carrie Campbell's proposed double-blind study. This leads me to wonder what, exactly, is being tested. I've gotten things like "avoid XM message lie" and "shapers chaos pure harm" from a long-standing Enlightened P7 on multiple occasions, along with pro-Enlightenment messages so thick with propaganda that no one would believe the sender genuinely meant it. I have likewise gotten several strongly pro-Shaper messages from Resistance portals, and messages that had nothing to do with the Shapers directly but were very similar in theme to the the Jarvis messages. I propose that one of the following scenarios is likely to be true: The scanner intentionally displays a different message then what the portal is broadcasting approximately 50% of the time, perhaps to test our reactions and check...

It would make since wouldn't it? Make people immune by doseing them up with xm's polar opposite. That would certainly lead down a dark path in the doseing. But with all the leaks about cm flying about it wouldn't surprise me to hear someone is crazy enough to try it medicinally. Also devera was working for visur which we found out today was in the "xm as medicine" business, fascinating place to take our thoughts in the future I guess.
