Originally shared by Vivax Solutions The Four Quadrants in Trigonometry The sign and value of trigonometric functions - sine, cosine or tan - depend on the quadrant they line in. The measurement of an angle has a convention too - anticlockwise, starting from the  bottom of the first quadrant. The following animation shows how the quadrants affect the sign of a trigonometric value. The acronym for remembering it, CAST , is at the centre of the animation. I feel this science has a lot to do with many of the current topics at hand. Why are computers really good at some things and not others. How we process data.... and the importance of moving in life.
