Here's what I think happened.

Susana Moyer went to get revenge on Jahan in India as she thought that she was responsible for her father's death.

Unfortunately for Moyer, she bit on to a bit more than she could chew.

Can't say for sure that Jahan is responsible for her disappearance. But I would look at who brought Kodama Smiles into the picture. The timing was impeccable.

Maybe they didn't want Moyer interfering and taking a side.
