So, my theory. Nova has a definite space theme or it is related to the changes of XM patterns. The change in XM pattern may be a inverse Nova. Less XM then after a few months it returns to normal levels.
Agis either means support or a shield. So a together theory is that it mean backing of XM returning to normal. Maybe the result of these anomalies will grant the winning faction more XM changes. Or it could mean shield, referring to the Obsidian shield. Ingress has always had a big space theme (Shapers and Nazeer), so here are so possible goals of the series:
- The Nazeer are setting up their own shield (the Nazeer seem to be from space while the Shapers exist in a separate dimension). A Res win will give the Nazeer/Anti Magnus with an Enlighted win preventing it.
-The winning faction will get the effects of the Obsidian reversed for their portals.
