So this is about Cassandra Prime.
So this is about Cassandra Prime. As most of you know, we caused an Epiphany Night in the Prime universe during the Osiris events at Kaltenberg and Navarro.
It wasn't the most pleasant experience, knowing that we duped OLW-Prime into basically thinking he would become a god, then allowed a surge of XM to destabilize his power cube experiment. Why? To equalize the Xm between the two universes, there was to much in ours, probably due to another group just like us doing the same thing. Now that which we call Prime is headed for the same situation we've already been through.
And it starts with the Cassandra Signal. These events around the first Cassandra anomaly started before I was active behind an XM scanner, so for the moment, I have a lot of questions.
First question: Was Carrie's death necessary? if so, while we might have the chance to save her in Prime, is that the action that is necessary to save the civilization there? "One life for a civilization", while we might save her, would we then cause the reverse of that, 'one civilization for a life?' As Spock so eloquently put in in Star Trek, 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one'.
So i am using this post as a jumping off point into JoJo Stratton 's archive of the first Cassandra. Maybe i'll find my answers there.
Here's another twist in the whole thing, someone at Navarro mentioned that this is Prime now, so most likely, this affects US, not THEM. This supposition feels right to me. The badge on my scanner from Navarro mentioned that I passed through the passage to Osiris, not that i opened it, or was simply there, but that it was passed through, by myself and everyone else at Navarro and Kaltenberg.
As we always say, its not a game.
