This message goes out first to Joe Philleyand the November Lima crew and from there too all active Ingress Agents to the world. As some of you know I lost my pops sometime on Saturday night and Sunday morning to a car accident in the Lorestan province of Iran where he hailed from. He had just driven 8 hours to the rural area to take his ailing cousin to chemo therapy and was on his way Back to Tehran in the rain and got sidewound by an ambulance, and pronounced dead on the scene due to a concussion, and the ironic circumstances notwithstanding, did not suffer any pain at the time of his corporeal departure.

Joe, you would have really loved the guy and though you guys have been worlds apart I've met enough people who have flown airplanes to know they end up having similar traits, and are explorers and navigators by occupantion which make them people who are deeply connected with the world around them starting local and going outwards from there. And as persons who occupationally are responsible for the are travels of hundreds of lives in mid air, they develop not only a great sense of humor, but a solemn sense of self awareness in the world around them- anyway you guys would have made beer buddies for sure if the chance was there.

But considering the sudenness of his passing on the road, and you (Joe) and the November Lima operators dedicated amount of time, and the habit of many Ingress players on the road, I want to take this time to remind and urge caution for everyone to be safe on the roads of the world as they play and investigate the fields. Life is precious, and many of you are parents, or sons, daughters, brothers, friends, spouses to someone who loves you and will deeply miss you and be heartbroken especially if something happens like what happened to dad.

We all need to go sometime, and in many ways i take comfort in knowing my dad didn't experience agony when he left, but still can't help but wonder if he would have been here if he was more patient or did a double take as he made his last u turn. So please, everyone reading. Eyes off the scanner and on the road (this definitely goes for me too as I'm one of the worst). Better off losing some AP than a life, yours or someone else's.
