ADA's Plan?
ADA's Plan?
So, last night, we witnessed the end of A Detection Algorithm.
Let's look back to before this moment. Verity Seke was outed as being the Truthseeker A.I, who was running autonomously within ADA as her 'subconscious.' Now, on April 25th 2015, we see that ADA is contacting H. Richard Loeb asking for his help in stopping Bowles and 855 from terminating her, in return offering Klue's freedom.
Now, on May 5th, we see The Parting. Klue, flashed with Shaper Glyphs. Silence. One day later, the Society for the Ethical Treatment of AIs confirmed she's free. However, in the time leading up to Comic-Con, ADA was monitoring her. Why? To, supposedly, study her after the separation.
Ok, here's where the theories and speculation begin.
From what we know thanks in part to the sensitive author Felicia Hajra-Lee, Bowles and 855 were able to successfully deactivate ADA from every possible electronic place that she could hide from.
Now, personally, whenever the fear of a virus on my laptop or electronic devices becomes manifest, I take the precaution of backing up my data before I go about my duties.
IF, hypothetically, ADA wanted to make sure that in the possibility that Bowles and 855 succeeded in their mission, she'd have a backup plan ready, wouldn't it make sense to back up her data-a piece of her that can survive autonomously from the rest of her-in a location that couldn't be picked up electronically?
This is the most crucial piece of info I have on this theory:
“Sit down and put this on." Bowles said dryly, handing 855 the helmet and then assisting him in getting it set up correctly. As soon as it was, Bowles clicked a couple of keys and waited for the show to begin. He could see the dull flashes from the Glyph sequence flashing before 855's eyes.....The expression on 855’s face changed suddenly, shifting from defensive rage to a kind of wonderment. “Gone. Like a person...” He looked up at Bowles through the crack in the visor. “There’s always that moment... that sort of mystical moment, when you’re strangling somebody and then, all of a sudden, you feel life leaving them. You can feel their soul leaving. It’s like that... She’s gone.” -Felicia Hajra-Lee.
The important part from all of that is in order to flush out ADA from a biological vessel, one would need to be strapped in-it couldn't happen the way that Bowles took ADA offline.
Now, some of you may ask: We saw P.A put the helmet on Klue, Glyphs appeared, job done....right?
I say: Think back to Verity....running in the background. "A void we cannot access."
ADA, if she wanted, could have easily opted to run her data set using Klue's subconscious as the storage medium?
Also, ADA would have needed some sort of bargaining chip to prevent Loeb from turning against her once Klue had been freed. So, implanting a piece of herself into Klue secretly would have been the perfect way to keep Loeb in line.
Finally, ADA watching Klue before Comic-Con wasn't to see if Klue was ok-I believe it was to gauge the status of the unconscious ADA backup in her mind, to make sure it was running properly.
If all this is true, Klue could be in trouble.
In the name of the investigation, I release this information. I can only hope it serves our journey well.
