VI Data Dump: First Scanner?
Obtained via leaks from the enigmatic Verum Inveniri, we now have the fully released manual of what could be some sort of early prototype of the XM Scanner:
"We have recently come into possession of a manual for a device which may have been used in early research into XM."
The device, which I believe to be codenamed the Vitronics A-34. Bacon Ator noticed the top of the doc had the header DOWSINGROD and that it was somehow developed by the NSA. His theory at the moment is that the Vitronics was developed around the late 70's or early 80's.
Which to me is very interesting. Nigel Moyer, Susanna Moyer's father and one of the earliest researchers of XM in the modern era, began his work at Bletchley Park in which he dosed the cryptoanalysts there to XM without their knowledge, enhancing their code-cracking skills which played an instrumental role in the Allied victory during WWII. Now, Bletchley was assembled in 1938. if Bacon's theory is correct, that could mean the Vitrronics could have been used by Moyer during his work there.
Also, another important thing: It was developed by the NSA. In the document that surfaced back in Nov 2012, Zeke Calvin and an NSA operative named Lowell were discussing the discovery of XM at Niantic and Zeke basically shut out the NSA from digging deeper: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/00/item/NSA_Fortmead.png
However, if this document proves the NSA had access to XM scanner tech even that far back then my guess is it'd mean The NSA was aware of XM transmissions far beyond what we originally believed.
