Exploratores, Speculatores, Praetorians, and the Sicarii...
(This is a repost of an earlier post of mine that I deleted to try and set some correct permissions on it.)
Having reread all of the recent breadcrumbs that have been released, I have pieced together a theory of the events of the Jewish-Roman War and how this conflict played out...
The Praetorian guard (Explorates and Speculatores)-1 are the 13Magnus elements (This theory is drawn from Jarvis asking the Acolyte to activate the ring of Obsidius) that are extremely active during this time frame. They have been responsible for the rise and fall of nations, even in their own lands (with the 2 removal of Nero as the Roman emporer for example), this group has acted as the special operations forces of the Roman Empire, having a long and documented history. The Praetorian Guard also served as the personal guards to the Roman emperor.
The Sicarii-3 (Jewish extremists and zealots), the latin root for their name meaning "Dagger-men", are the special forces of the Judeans; also described as a "cloak and dagger unit", and the suspected AntiMagnus elements (This theory is drawn because they are in direct opposition to the Romans) acting in this area. This would have given them one more reason for the Romans to invade Judea and go to war with the Sicarii. The Sicarii would carefully pick their targets, for both the most psychological damage and disastrous political effects. Since they are Jewish, they would draw their lineage from King Solomon, and have the knoweldge that he held. The Sicarii were very devious, going so far as to burn the food storage of their people during the Roman seiges to cause the locals to fight and create unrest. There were a lot of lives lost from starvation.
The Jewish-Roman War culminated with the Siege of Masada - 4. The Romans had ursurpped the Sacarii's control of the area, and drove the Sicarii to Masada. The Sacarii saw their situation as dire, and to rob the Romans of the glory of victory, they decided to take their own lives in an act of mass suicide. Taking with them what ever AntiMagnus secrets that they were entrusted with, and leaving the Romans without the chance to shed Sicarii blood, or more importantly to rob the Romans of a chance to take prisoners.

2 - http://everything.explained.today/First_Jewish%E2%80%93Roman_War/ -> New Emperor - While the war in Judea was being won, great events were occurring in Rome. In the middle of 68 CE, the emperor Nero's increasingly erratic behaviour finally lost him all support for his position. The Roman Senate, the praetorian guard and several prominent army commanders conspired for his removal. When the senate declared Nero an Enemy of the people, he fled Rome and committed suicide. The newly installed emperor Galba was murdered after just a few months by Otho a rival, triggering a civil war that came to be known as the Year of the Four Emperors. In 69 CE, though previously uninvolved, the popular Vespasian was also hailed emperor by the legions under his command. He decided, upon gaining further widespread support, to return to Rome to claim the throne from the usurper Vitellius, leaving his son Titus to finish the war in Judea.
