However, the looks of this combination, that most of us has seen before, is always reminiscent of the Aztec and Mayan styles of art (more Aztec than Mayan). Since the Resistance end point of the 13Magnus, and our speculations around WWII were based on South America, it fits the possibility. Also, I always thought it is strange for the enlightened symbol to only be one eye, although this type of symbology is not unseen (the famous Horus Eye, which Yik Sheng Lee must know a lot more than me), I really think the use of two of them gives a better image.
The usage of the Resistance symbol in a combined way, and with the lower part fitting so well, could be the indication of some bigger connection between them that surpasses its differences.
In addition, the creative liberties of the artist in adding the red eyes, might call attention to a greater evil that can only be unlocked through both factions, OR, that is a common enemy of both, OR that can only be fought by both factions simultaneously.

I would like to hear some opinions about this.
