Hi again!

Hi again!

Okay, so is it just me, or has there been a bunch of weird news over the last week or so? I've been starting to catch up on the Ingress books/comics (but definitely not done yet!), and maybe it's just because my head is full of Niantic stuff, but I can't help but wonder if there's more than meets the eye with respect to, say, this discovery of a new, superconductive state of matter: http://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-have-discovered-a-new-state-of-matter-the-jahn-teller-effect

I'm not a scientist, but could that help explain, for example, XM as a type of energy, transmitted with no "resistance" (as per the article...just now noticing the potential punning...)? For that matter, look at this related video: http://www.sciencealert.com/watch-magnetic-buckyballs-in-a-blender-light-up-like-fireworks ...seems like an interesting explanation for the lights that appear at portals and attending XM...

And one more from the "strange truths" file...did anyone hear these ridiculous recordings from near space? http://www.sciencealert.com/nasa-records-mysterious-sounds-36-km-above-earth-s-surface ...described as "a robot screaming" among other things...

Okay, now in terms of Ingress specifically...I spent some time comparing http://www.nianticproject.com/?id=sc306a to the comics and there are a few subtle differences. Has anyone looked into whether these differences mean anything?

And finally, I'm trying to figure out why http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Struve_Geodetic_Arc is linked off of the Ingress Wikipedia page. Has this been answered already, or would that be a question for Edgar Allan Wright during his Behind the Scanner interview this week?

Thanks again for being so helpful, everyone...this rabbit hole is deep, but I can't turn away! :)
