Alexander would have heard what this had done to his Adopted Uncle through his adopted mother, Ada of Caria, and as a means of preventing this knowledge from spreading destroyed the information that was stored with the royalty of the Achaemenid Empire. Was this the reason why Alexander the Great sacked Persepolis?

Both Artemisia and Mausolus could be possible Simulacra. And I speculate that Alexander the Great's reasoning for sacking Persepolis was to destroy the knowledge of the simulacrum from spreading. (This failed obviously) Or was this Alexander the Great's way of keeping the secrets for himself? Did he use them to 'save' his adopted mother, Ada of Caria?
